Raw Product Handling & Cooling Facility

For over five years, Skagit Valley Farm LLC has been in the business of growing organic and conventional crops in Skagit County, Washington, using innovative methods and new technologies, such as robotic planting machines, and GPS-guided tractors. In 2019 they completed a new facility for handling, cooling and packaging their raw vegetable products for distribution to wholesale and retail sellers. The building includes over 80,000 s.f. of tilt-up concrete and metal roof and floor framing for the product handling and warehouse functions, plus a 6,055 s.f. wood-framed corporate office wing.

Harthorne Hagen Architects was the prime architectural consultant for Trico Companies, general contractor, under a design-build contract with the owner, Skagit Valley Farm. Harthorne Hagen Architects worked with the owner and builder in schematic planning and design development through construction documents, and was contact with the local jurisdictions for land use and building permits.
